American Revolution At Home Project

Hi Parents,

I know it has been a while since I have posted a new blog for our classroom, so here it is!

Today, I explained to students that they will be completing a mini project within the next week at home.  It will be due on Thursday, February 5, 2015.  There will be no time in class for the project.  I have attached pictures of the assignment below and each student has their own hard copy too.  Students will choose one project from the assignment.  The rubrics are provided so that you know how your child will be scored.  Please email me with any questions or concerns regarding the project.

We have also been working very hard the past few weeks learning all about fractions and decimals.  Our students will have a unit test for fractions and decimals on Wednesday, February 4, 2015.  Please review with your students the following:

  • adding and subtracting fractions
  • adding and subtracting mixed numbers
  • Decimals fractions (denominators of 10 or 100)  Find equivalent and adding them
  • Comparing and ordering decimals
  • Changing a fraction to a decimal and a decimal to a fraction

On Thursday we will begin our new unit on Measurement of angles in math.

Like always, please email me with any questions and I will help in any way possible.

Thanks!
