Gimme 5 for Education

This year our school is participating in the “Gimme 5 for Education” campaign to raise funds for the Cobb Schools Foundation!  A portion of these funds will also benefit our school.  All students who donate will be entered into a drawing to win 2 AMC Movie Tickets!  Help us reach our goal of 100% participation, please make a $5- tax deductible contribution and return it to school.  Give a high five to education!

ART SHOW CELEBRATION! DON'T MISS OUT!!

Teasley Gym at 5 to 6:30 on March 5th

You and your family are invited to celebrate your students artwork.  Each student has their own masterpiece framed and on display.  You may purchase your child's framed original art to proudly display in your home or office for25$ cash or credit only.  In addition, a percentage of the sales go directly to your child's school.  You may also buy reproductions at the art show.  There will be a few activity tables and a photo booth to capture the night!  If you have any questions, feel free to email Mrs. Brooks, the art teacher, at:   kaylene.hybart@cobbk12.org 

TEASLEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL GOES VIRAL: ANTI-BULLYING STYLE!!!

Parents and Students,

This upcoming week Mrs. Mungin and Ms. Gooden are holding a contest to see what class can spread the word to end bullying.  They are hoping that with your views and sharing of this video, that Teasley Elementary School’s Anti-Bullying video will go viral!!!

 

Parents, you are asked along with your child to view and share this video all week long as many times as you like. Every time you and your child view and share this video your child’s class will be entered to win a spectacular Anti-Bullying party of their choice.  Simply put, the class with the most views and shares wins!!!!

  

Below is the link to the Youtube video of our newest Anti-Bullying video produced by Balancing Acts Entertainment and Sogorillla Films. This video also features students who recently auditioned for a possible role as cast member of this upcoming season of America’s Got Talent.  You will also find below the link to the form that you are asked to use to log your every view and share.  All you will need to do is fill out the form every time you view and share the video and it will automatically log whose class is viewing and sharing the most.

 

Please read all the info on the link provided to make sure you properly view and share.  Failure to follow the given instructions may hinder your child’s class from winning the grand prize.  We will announce results throughout the week of class standings and announce the winner of the contest on March 2^nd.

Anti-Bullying Song

On another note, the students were able to see our new anti-bullying song this morning on the announcements!  Everyone who was involved did such an amazing job and we wanted to share it with you.  Enjoy and show everyone you know!

Progress reports went home with each student today so that you can see how your child is doing in all of the subject areas.  Please sign these progress reports and send them back to school with your child on Monday.

Their test will be on Thursday 2/19/2014 and their spelling contract is due the same day.

We have also started to use a new program in math class called Front row the URL is https://www.frontrowed.com/  Please have your child log on this weekend and start to
work on Geometry.  We have noticed that the program tends to work better in 
Google Chrome then other browsers.  To sign in, your child will use their first and
 last name as well as our class code which is h5mr3m .
